Since their are so many errors with the Xbox 360, I've written them in several parts. This is the first part. With any luck you should be able to find a solution to one of your Xbox 360 error problems.
E45 Error Isn't Really That Common From my research, the E45 error isn't really that common. In fact, browsing through the forums there's hardily anyone talking about them. If you do have this problem it's probably an update problem. In other words your Xbox 360 didn't update properly. Sorry to state the obvious, but for this you will need to update your Xbox again. Try powering down and re-starting.DVD Drive Errors The E64, E65 and E66 errors are DVD Drive Errors. Again, this isn't really a popular problem. If you're Xbox is still under warranty you are probably best to return it to Microsoft to be repaired. They'll probably find that their is a DVD Timeout or wrong firmware installed.
Hard Drive Error Now, the E67 error is slightly different from the previous 3 I just mentioned. I also found that it has cropped up more often than not. If you do happen to get this error it's probably something to do with an internal Hard Drive Error or hard disk error. You may need to contact Xbox customer support for this specific problem.
Run Several Tests Having The MU Connected and Disconnected If an Xbox Memory Unit (MU) is plugged in try turning the console off, removing the memory unit. Turn it on again and test to see if the error has re-appeared. If it doesn't then turn the console off once again and place the MU back into your console. Run several tests having the MU connected and disconnected. This will give you some idea if the there is actually a problem with the MU unit.
The E74 Error ProblemThis problem is probably the most popular problem of all the errors you'll find with Xbox. Let me explain.
If you have the E74 error it's most likely a scalar chip problem. This chip is located near your AV cable connection inside your console. This chip has the annoying habit of overheating. Now, if you have this problem a basic fix is to switch your console off for a few hours, disconnect all the accessories, while you're waiting make a cup of coffee, do the ironing and by the time you've finished your Xbox 360 should have cooled down. Once your console is cool re-connect your accessories, switch the console back on and you should be able to carry on gaming. It has to be stressed that these are only basic fixes for your Xbox 360. If you want a more detailed and in-depth explanation of how to fix your Xbox 360 you need to have an Xbox 360 fix manual. For more information - Click Here
